Hiking and cycling | Groene Woud | De Kampina


De Pepermolen is situated just outside Oirschot, on the edge of the Groene Woud (green forest). There are countless hiking trails and cycle routes on roads with little traffic. The extensive nature reserve De Kampina is less than 10 minutes' drive away, with woods and heathland. More than enough options for lovers of the great outdoors.

De Mortelen

De Mortelen is a beautiful area with a mixture of woods, fields, grassland and hedgerows. It is a special place to enjoy the nature in peace. It offers wonderful views of the countryside.

De Kampina

De Kampina has extensive areas of heathland, forests, lakes and streams. It is home to various animals like deer, foxes and many sorts of birds. Visitors can enjoy the many hiking and cycle tracks, or can climb the look-out tower.

Oisterwijk Woods and Lakes

The Oisterwijk woods and lakes is a popular area managed by NAtuurmonumenten. It also offers many hiking and cycle trails, as well as the popular bar/restaurant Boshuis Venkraai.

The hiking route network (wandelroutenetwerk) provides a network of well sign-posted paths, allowing you to connect any combination that you wish, or follow one of the recommended routes,


Natuurmonumenten (nature moments organisations) manages the Kampina and the Oisterwijk woods and lakes. They also provide a number of excellent routes.


Cycling network

The cycling network makes it easy to plan your own route along any combination of well-sign-posted roads and tracks. All are bicycle-friendly and scenic.
